Library Loot: February 18-24, 2009

The Age of Innocense by Edith Wharton

Cyber Cinderella by Christina Hopkinson

A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby

First Daughter by Mitali Perkins (I may have read this before. I don't know)

Torn to Pieces by Margot McDonell

Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman (I had to see what everyone is raving about Neil Gaiman. This was the only book my library had in)

I'll also be picking up:

The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand (To read because I have to write an essay on it for a scholarship. Ugh!)

Deenie by Judy Blume

I've never had a chance to read Gaiman but I hope to soon. These sound good so hope you enjoy them :)

I really enjoyed the Fountainhead, though I don't know if I would have if I had to write on it. Ayn Rand has interesting views, but definitely is a good author. I'm reading Atlas Shrugged right now...scary how much it correlates to our country's present condition.

Age of Innocence was okay, but I really loved Edith Wharton's House of Mirth.

Edith Wharton is so awesome! And Ayn Rand sucks. lol I had to read The Fountainhead in high school-our English teacher thought it'd be brilliant for us all to enter that essay contest. If you end up not liking Neverwhere, be sure to give Gaiman another change! :)
